Acer Aspire One 531 Netbook Review

Acer Aspire One 531

Acer have been producing laptops for a number of years now and were also one of the first manufacturers to start making netbooks. The Acer Aspire One 531 netbook is the follow on model from the Aspire One which was a very popular model.

The 531 features a larger 10″ screen an integrated Wi-Fi. The unit features a solid build and a very thin case making it strong but also very portable. The keyboard is very usable as is the trackpad which is on the larger side for a netbook. The trackpad also has some nice features to make browsing the web and viewing images much easier.

The battery life is staggering producing over nine hours of power. It also has a number of memory card slots and will take SD, xD and Sony sticks.

The general spec is a fairly standard one for a netbook; 160GB hard disk, 1GB RAM etc. Although the processor does produce pretty good results.

The Acer Aspire One 531 is a nice progression from its predecessor offering higher than average speed and very good battery life. This fits into the “must have” netbook category!
